Military-economic cooperation of CSTO member states was discussed in Almaty

On the 7th of September 2018 in Almaty  XVI  session of  Interstate commission on military-economic cooperation of  Collective security treaty organization was held.

At the beginning of event the minister of defense and aerospace industry of the RK Beibut Atamkulov made a welcoming speech. On his report he noted, that Kazakhstan being the chairman of CSTO this year advocates for the improvement of the legal and regulatory base and for increase of international status of organization.

At the session were participated the following persons: the Deputy Secretary General of CSTO V.Semerikov, Deputy Minister of industry and trade of RF O. Ryazancev, Deputy Director of Federal service on military-technical cooperation of Russia V. Drozhzhov, Deputy Chairman of State military-technical committee of Belarus D. Pantus, Deputy Minister of defense of Armenia D. Pahchanyan, Deputy chairman of stae committee of industry, power engineering and subsoil use of Kyrgyzstan A. Orozbekov.

During the meeting participants of session considered issues of development of military-economic and military-technical cooperation. Measures on providing of security and increase of defensive capacity of state-members of organization were discussed.

Parties agreed to continue the joint work in the frame of interstate commission on military-economic cooperation CSTO.

At the end of session an appropriate protocol was signed.

Interstate commission on military-economic cooperation CSTO was created by the decision of the council of collective security of CSTO on the 23th of June 2005.

One of the main functions of the commission is defined the making recommendations and taking decisions, aimed for providing of multilateral military-economic (technical) cooperation on prospective directions of interaction: Development and realization of long-term programs of military-economic (technical) cooperation, saving of specialization and cooperation of production of items of military purpose, creation of joint enterprises (organizations) on development, production, modernization, repair and utilization of products of military purpose, as well as holding of joint scientific-research and developmental  works on development and modernization of products of military purpose and etc.

The amphibian aircraft developed by China successfully passed flight tests

Developed by China the largest in the world amphibian  aircraft AG600 successfully carried out a flight from Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province to Jingmen City, Hubei Province, now the ship is ready to begin testing on the water surface.

The Chinese aviation industry corporation (AVIC) reported on Monday that on a flight from Jinwan airport in Zhuhai to Zhanghe airfield in Jingmen, the aircraft flew into the airspace of three provinces - Guangdong, Hunan and Hubei. The date of the beginning of tests on water has not yet been reported.

Previously, AVIC announced plans to begin commercial delivery of the AG600 amphibious aircraft by 2022.

This is the largest example of such equipment not only in China, but also in the world. The vessel is designed to extinguish fires and carry out rescue operations on the water. In addition, the AG600 can be equipped with additional equipment for monitoring the marine environment, passenger and freight traffic, as well as exploration of mineral deposits.

The aircraft is equipped with four turboprop engines, able to collect on board 12 tons of water in 20 seconds. The maximum take-off weight of the AG600 is 53.5 tons, the length of the hull is 39.3 meters, the wingspan is 38.8 meters, and the maximum flight range is 4,5 thousand kilometers. At a time the aircraft can carry up to 50 people.

In December  2017 AG600 successfully completed its first testing flight from the ground. AG600 project was approved in June 2009, and assembly was completed in July 2016.

An expanded meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Beibut Atamkulov, dedicated to summarizing the results of the first year of implementation  of  the “Cybershield of Kazakhstan” Cybersecurity Concept until 2022.

The heads of the ministries of defense of the RK, education and science of the RK, the internal affairs of the RK, the Committee for National Security of the RK, the National Bank of the RK, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the RK, the International University of Information Technologies, representatives of the JSC “Kazakhtelecom”, JSC “Transtelecom”, specialists of the Center for Analysis and Investigation of Cyberattacks “CAIC” and “Kazakhstan Association for Information Security".

Among the main results are the formation of legislation, the expansion of the scope of compulsory use of technical standards and requirements, the adoption of a professional standard, the increase of educational grants, the organization of systematic work to improve the literacy of civil servants and inform citizens about security measures when using information and communication technologies.

Also at the meeting the expert community put forward and discussed a number of new initiatives to create and commercialize specialized solutions of Kazakhstan developers, to increase the role of telecom operators in the organization of interaction in computer attacks and the prevention of violations in the field of cybersecurity in the face of the growing number of “online” services and electronic public services , as well as the further development of special educational programs in the country's universities.

Они покажут свыше 100 натурных образцов и макетов изделий военного и двойного назначения

ASTANA, 18th of August./TASS/. Nine enterprises of defense-industrial complex (DIC) of Kazakhstan will show the new samples of arms and technique at the International military-technical forum “Army-2018”, which will take place in Russia from 21st to 26th of August. This was reported in the press-service of the Ministry of defense and aerospace industry of Kazakhstan to correspondent of TASS on Saturday.

“Kazakhstan’s enterprises of DIC will present their products for the third time at the International military-technical forum “Army-2018”, which traditionally hold in the city of Cubinka of  the Moscow region. This year nine enterprises of the DIC will take part from Kazakhstan”,- informed in Ministry, responding on the request of TASS.

It is noted, that Kazakhstan’s enterprises present at the forum  new samples of arms and military technique, which has exporting potential. “Kazakhstan’s stand will occupy an area of  more than 200 sq. meters, domestic companies will present more than 100 full-scale samples and product models of military and dual use. The national exhibition exposition will be represented by LLP “KAE”, JSC “Plant named after S.M. Kirov”, JSC “Tynys”, JSC “Semey Engineering”, RSE “Kazspecexport”, JSC “405 aviation repair plant” and other companies in the sphere of DIC”,- explained in the press-service.



It is planned that plant on production of optoelectronic products LLP “KAE” will present at the exhibition  infrared lens for  thermal imaging devices and professional tools of communication. JSC “Plant named after S.M. Kirov” will show the universal polygon equipment -  targets of various sizes, control units, as well as radio relay stations. The Enterprise “Semey engineering” will display models of modernized armored and conversion equipment, including repair and evacuation and reconnaissance-sentry vehicles based on the T-72, BMP and BTR-80 tanks.

JSC “Tynys” exhibits components for the aviation industry and military ammunition: bulletproof vests, armored vehicles, helmets and other products at the forum "Army-2018".

International military-technical forum “Army-2018”, the organizer of which is the Ministry of defense of Russian Federation, will hold in congress-exhibition center “Patriot”, at the aerodrome Cubinka and on the polygon Alabino.

The interaction of the CIS countries on issues of state material reserves was discussed in Astana

The 15th of August of current year the XIV session of the Consultative Council of Heads of State Bodies in the field of management of state material reserves in the CIS countries was opened in Astana.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, Beibut Atamkulov, made a welcoming speech. In his speech, the Minister noted the role of the state material reserve system in conditions of emergencies, natural and man-made disasters.

Head of the Department for Material Reserves of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus Bondar E.V., Chairman of the State Material Reserves Fund under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic Aidarov K.A., Director of the Agency for Material Reserves under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Gazhiu E.V., Deputy Head of the Rosreserve a Abramova E.V., Director of the Agency for State Material Reserves under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Ahmadzoda N.A. took part in the event.

The work of the meeting of the Consultative Council was headed by the Chairman of the Committee on State Material Reserves of the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan B.Z. Imanaliyev.

During the meeting, the results of the work of the Consultative Council and the Basic Organization of the CIS Member States in the field of scientific and technical development of the state material reserve systems, organization of retraining and advanced training for the past year were discussed.

In addition, issues of the development of national systems of state material reserves of the CIS member states and innovative developments in the field of improving the storage conditions and increasing the storage of material values were considered.

Within the framework of the discussion, the participants exchanged their experience on digitalization of the state treasury system, as well as the problem of the utilization of radiation and chemical protection.

At the end of the meeting, a relevant protocol was signed.

The main activities of the Consultative Council are the development of multilateral cooperation in the formation, storage and maintenance of stocks of state material reserves, their use for the liquidation of the consequences of emergencies and humanitarian assistance, the exchange of experience, and the organization of professional training and professional development of personnel.
The Consultative Council is the only body of sectoral cooperation in the field of state material reserves of the CIS countries.
