During the meeting the issues of cooperation between enterprises of defense industrial complex of both countries were discussed.
We have to examine in detail suggestions of Spanish companies in the spheres of aerospace and defense industry, so far as this spectrum includes in it equipment, technique, as a program maintenance and modern technological solutions in sphere of ensuring of cyber safety and development of conception on management of “smart” cities and productions. I gave relevant instructions on studying of effective innovational technologies of world leaders of defense industrial spheres, I am sure, further work will be contribute not only to the development of the complex of enterprise and transfer of technologies, but also to the strengthening of diplomatic relations of Kazakhstan with other countries”,- noted during the meeting Askar Zhumagaliyev.
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain in the RK Karriedo Thomas David Arturo operates in Kazakhstan in a new capacity from October, 2018. As speaker noted, from the Embassy side full support will be provided for Kazakhstan-Spanish relations in several directions, including in the sphere of military-technical cooperation.
By the way, there is observed a high interest of representatives of defense-industrial enterprises of Spain to the International exhibition of weapons and military-technical property KADEX, holding in Kazakhstan, as to potential area for presentation of production, designated for export.

From 2005 till III quarter of 2018 gross inflow of direct investments from Spain into a Kazakhstan was 205,4 mln.US doll., gross outflow of direct investments into an economy of Spain – 31,1 mln. US doll. The volume of trade 2018 is 2,041 mlrd.US dollars.
The majority of exports from Kazakhstan to Spain are oil and its derivatives, copper, lead, iron and steel products, and grain. In 2018, Kazakhstan ranked 6th among the suppliers of oil and its derivatives to Spain. Machinery and electrical equipment, metal products, textiles, footwear, chemical and pharmaceutical products, etc. are imported from Spain to Kazakhstan.
In the Kazakhstan market, Spanish companies are represented in the field of railway transport and infrastructure, the supply of military transport aircraft, the civil engineering industry, the development of security equipment, the military-technical and civilian sector, the development of information technology, and trade. In addition, on a systematic basis, the possibilities of sharing financial and investment tools to support the business of the two countries, assistance in the sectors of telecommunications, tourism, the agri-food industry and “green energy” are being studied. Long-term relations between the countries also influenced the development of joint projects in the cultural and educational spheres.
