On August 14, 2018, a meeting of the National Scientific Council was held in the priority area “National Security and Defense”

On August 14, 2018, a meeting of the National Scientific Council in the priority area “National Security and Defense” (NSC) was held.

For the implementation of projects recognized as relevant by the decision of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MDIA of the RK), at the meeting of the NNC, funding amounts for research and scientific and technical projects of the MDAI of the RK were protected under the program-targeted and grant funding for 2019-2021 yy.

At the same time, specialized research areas have been defined for the announcement of the competition of the MDAI of the RK for grant and program-targeted funding for 2019-2021, such as (decision of the NSC dated August 14, 2018):

  1. “The development of technologies in the field of defense industry”;
  2. “Development of the information security system”;
  3. “Development of the production technology of aviation complexes”;
  4. “Development of production technology of rocket systems”;
  5. “The development of the military-industrial complex, weapons and military equipment, military space technologies.”

Based on the decision of the NSC, the minutes of the meeting of the Higher Scientific and Technical Commission under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan chaired by Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan B. Sagintayev with No. 20-3/I-411 dated August 22, 2018 approved the amount of program-targeted funding for the implementation of scientific research and grant financing for 2019-2021 years for the MDAI of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
