The first flight of a drone “Ohotnik (Hunter)” will take place in 2019. The machine was rolled out of the assembly shop of Novosibirsk’s airplant.
- In Novosibirsk at the branch of the company “Sukhoi” the first rollout of heavy drones “Hunter” took place. The machine undergoes ground tests before the first flight. It is scheduled for 2019, “Interfax” reported quoted an informed source.
The Sukhoi Design Bureau is developing the barely noticeable drone UAV in the interests of the Russian Defense Ministry. The characteristics of the aircraft areconfidential, according to open sources, the total take-off mass of the “Hunter” will be 20 tons. This will be the heaviest device of this type.
The UAV is designed according to the “flying wing” scheme with a three-post chassis and maximum use of low-visibility technologies. Speed of the device will be about 1000 kilometers per hour. According to some technologies, “Hunter” is unified with a promising Su-57 fighter. It is reported that one of the prototypes of the T-50 operates under this program.
Earlier it became known about the successful completion of the flight tests of the drone UAV of the middle class “Altius-O” weighing more than 7.5 tons. The device with two diesel engines is designed primarily for reconnaissance – it is able to soar in the air for up to 48 hours. However, if necessary, “Altius” can be hung up to a ton of weapons.
At the Victory Parade in Moscow was shown a light drones “Corsair”, also capable of carrying anti-tank missiles.
