The interaction of the CIS countries on issues of state material reserves was discussed in Astana

The 15th of August of current year the XIV session of the Consultative Council of Heads of State Bodies in the field of management of state material reserves in the CIS countries was opened in Astana.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, Beibut Atamkulov, made a welcoming speech. In his speech, the Minister noted the role of the state material reserve system in conditions of emergencies, natural and man-made disasters.

Head of the Department for Material Reserves of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus Bondar E.V., Chairman of the State Material Reserves Fund under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic Aidarov K.A., Director of the Agency for Material Reserves under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Gazhiu E.V., Deputy Head of the Rosreserve a Abramova E.V., Director of the Agency for State Material Reserves under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Ahmadzoda N.A. took part in the event.

The work of the meeting of the Consultative Council was headed by the Chairman of the Committee on State Material Reserves of the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan B.Z. Imanaliyev.

During the meeting, the results of the work of the Consultative Council and the Basic Organization of the CIS Member States in the field of scientific and technical development of the state material reserve systems, organization of retraining and advanced training for the past year were discussed.

In addition, issues of the development of national systems of state material reserves of the CIS member states and innovative developments in the field of improving the storage conditions and increasing the storage of material values were considered.

Within the framework of the discussion, the participants exchanged their experience on digitalization of the state treasury system, as well as the problem of the utilization of radiation and chemical protection.

At the end of the meeting, a relevant protocol was signed.

The main activities of the Consultative Council are the development of multilateral cooperation in the formation, storage and maintenance of stocks of state material reserves, their use for the liquidation of the consequences of emergencies and humanitarian assistance, the exchange of experience, and the organization of professional training and professional development of personnel.
The Consultative Council is the only body of sectoral cooperation in the field of state material reserves of the CIS countries.
