As part of the implementation of the Agreement on Cooperation in the Military-Technical Sphere between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, signed on September 16, 2017, the delegation of Uzbekistan headed by the Chairman of the State Committee for Defense Industry Atabek Ibadullayev paid a working visit to Kazakhstan.
For Reference: On the 16th of September, 2017 Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan signed the Agreement on cooperation in military-technical sphere during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in Tashkent. Document was signed by Minister of defense and aerospace industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov and Minister of defense of Uzbekistan Abdusalom Azizov. Implementation of signed Agreement will contribute to strengthening of bilateral cooperation on the principles of equality and reciprocity in the military-technical sphere. |
Uzbekistan’s delegation visited domestic defense-industrial enterprises, where it got acquainted with production capacities and manufactured military products.
Minister of defense and aerospace industry of the RK Beibut Atamkulov and the Chairman of the State Committee for defense industry of Uzbekistan Atabek Ibadullayev discussed the directions of cooperation and interactions in military-technical and aerospace spheres of activity and in the field of informational security.
Was held the First meeting of Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan’s working groups on military-technical cooperation with participation of representatives of the MDAI of the RK, MOD of the RK, aerospace organizations and enterprises of DIC (defense-industrial complex) and signed appropriate Protocol.
It is worth noting that in the framework of the Agreement on cooperation in the military-technical sphere Kazakhstan’s enterprise LLP “KAE” implemented delivery of experimental batch of night vision devices for Armed Forces of Uzbekistan.
Also an agreement was reached on the provision of space images from the Kazakhstan’s remote sensing satellites of the Earth for the needs of economic of Uzbekistan.
Representatives of the both States confirmed the interest in further activation of mutual beneficial cooperation in defense and aerospace spheres between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
The next meeting of the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan’s working group on military-technical cooperation is planned to hold in September, 2018 in Tashkent.
It is necessary to note, that State Committee for defense industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan was created in November, 2017 and is responsible for formation of state defense orders and organization of manufactures of defense designation. The ministry of defense and aerospace industry of Kazakhstan was one of the first partners of the State Committee for defense industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the sphere of military-technical cooperation.
