State Concern “Ukroboronprom” from 2019 goes to NATO standards; it is planning to complete the process by the end of 2020. This was reported on December 20, 2018 by RIA News with reference to the press service of the company.
From 2019, practical implementation of NATO technical standards for the production of weapons and military equipment will begin. It is noted that such a decision was made at a meeting of the 27th Ukraine-NATO Joint Working Group.
“In order to accelerate the transition to the new standards of the Ukrainian defense industry in the summer of 2019, NATO technical experts will visit the “Ukroboronprom” enterprises, which are included in aviation and radiolocation clusters. Completion of adaptation procedures and the full implementation of NATO standards to the governing documents of the defense sector and the defense industry of Ukraine is scheduled for end of 2020”, – added in the press service of “Ukroboronprom”.
In July 2018, it became known that “Ukroboronprom” began to produce shots for the PGOF-40 automatic grenade launcher according to NATO standards.
