The Jordanian consortium Jadara Equipment and Defense Systems announced the completion of the development of a mobile-portable anti-tank missile system “Terminator”. Jane’s reports that the novelty was presented at the SOFEX-2018 arms exhibition held in Amman.

As noted by the developers, the anti-tank complex “Terminator” has already been prepared for serial production.

The Center for the Analysis of World Arms Trade recalls that in May 2013, Jordan launched a joint Russian-Jordan assembly of hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers RPG-32 Nashshab, developed by the Russian research and production association “Basalt”. This gun allows you to fire with ammunition of two calibers: 72.5 and 105 mm. Jadara Equipment and Defense Systems said that the anti-tank complex “Terminator” was developed taking into account the experience gained in the production of RPG-32. The complex uses a 107-mm rocket to conduct a fire in a transport-launch container. A missile with a tandem cumulative part is able to pierce steel armor with a thickness of 550 mm.

The armor-piercing ability of the high-explosive fragmentation warhead of the missile is 50 mm. Depending on the loaded ammunition, the mass of the missile complex can reach 15.9 kg. The maximum fire range of the “Terminator” is 2.5 km. The launcher is equipped with day and night sights.

As expected, the armed forces of Jordan in the near future will begin two months of testing a new missile system. As a result, the military will decide to accept the “Terminator” for service.
