Automatic machine two-way special ADS of 5.45-mm caliber, firing under water and on land is being prepared in Tula (Russia, Tula) for serial production for special forces of the Armed Forces and Russian guards, and then for foreign customers, head of the Central Design & Research Bureau of Sports and Hunting Weapons (part of the Scientific Production Organization “High-Precision Complexes”) Yurii Amelin reported to the RIA News.
“This model has been adopted, and we are preparing for serial production. Preparations are being made for the production of these weapons”, Yurii. Amelin said. According to him, Tula gunsmiths first of all “must fulfill the requirements and applications of Russian forces”. “I can name the two structures – the Ministry of Defense of Russia and Russian guard”, – the interlocutor of the agency said.
At the same time, Yurii Amelin added that the automaton – “amphibian” was allowed to be exported, but he did not name specific foreign customers.
Automatic two-way special ADS caliber of 5.45 mm is designed for conducting single and automatic fire at a range of up to 600 meters on land and up to 25 meters under water. The rate of fire – up to 900 rounds per minute. The magazine capacity is 30 cartridges. The weight of the machine without ammunition with a 40 mm underbarrel grenade launcher is 4.82 kg.
