Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) Company presented the Tavor TS12 rifle

Arms ruler Tavor from the Israel Weapon Industries Company (IWI) replenished with a new model. On the 17th of 2018, thefirearmblog.com portal reported that, IWI presented arms named as Tavor TS12.

The new gun is very different from the usual shotguns. Firstly, it is made according to the Bull-Dad scheme, and, secondly, it is equipped with a rotary pivot store of a tubular type. Each tube of the built-in magazine holds five rounds of 12 calibers. Thus, the shooter has ammunition of 15 + 1 cartridges, while each of the magazine tubes can be loaded with cartridges of different types and quickly switch between them.

The weight of the gun is 3.5 kg; the ejection of the catridges can be made to the right or to the left by the choise of gunner. The Tavor TS12 uses a gas discharge recharge system; the barrel length is 18.5 inches (47 cm). Tavor TS12 is made in a tactical style. Above the barrel is a Picatinny bar, and the barrel guard is equipped with a fastening system for accessories.

The manufacturer’s stated retail price for Tavor TS12 in the US is $ 1,400.

 

*The layout of the mechanisms of rifles and automatic machines, in which the trigger is moved forward and located in front of the magazine and the impact mechanism. Thanks to this arrangement, the total length of the weapon is reduced substantially without changing the length of the barrel and, accordingly, without losses in accuracy of shooting, as well as in the effective range of fire.
