On the 2nd of November, 2017, in Tashkent within the visit of Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, the General Director of the Public Corporation «KAMAZ» (included in State Corporation «Rostec») Sergey Kogogin and the Chairman of the Board «UzAutoSanoat» Umidzhan Salimov signed an agreement of cooperation, which is providing the organization of production of truck vehicles in Republic of Uzbekistan.
Production of truck vehicles under the mark of «KAMAZ» in Uzbekistan will be organized at the facilities of LLC «UzAutoTrailer» (affiliated enterprise of JSC «UzAutoSanoat»). Furthemore, in prospective – creation of joint enterprise for the assembly of vehicles o the territory of Uzbekistan.
According to the Agreement, Public Corporation «KAMAZ» and JSC «UzAutoSanoat» will carry out their activities through JSC «Foreign trade company «KAMAZ» and LLC «UzAutoTrailer» respectively. So, JSC «Foreign trade company «KAMAZ» will supply assembly sets of parts and accessories to the «UzAutoTrailer», in the duties of «UzAutoTrailer» – assembly of the chassis, as well as installation of the superstructure of own and joint production. Within of organization of production of truck vehicles in Uzbekistan, provided by agreement, till the end of December of current year it is planned to supply the first 100 assembly sets for assembling vehicles of KAMAZ in the Republic.
The first completed vehicles will be presented at the joint Day of client, which will be in the beginning of 2018. Realization of final joint product will be implemented on the domestic market of the Republic of Kazakhstan and on the export markets through distributor and his dealer network, created by the parties.
Besides, within the agreement of cooperation are planned supplies of parts and special bodies from Uzbekistan to the enterprises of Public Corporation «KAMAZ».
