MDAI of the RK takes the necessary measures on protection of Kazakhstani segment of Internet from malicious software

The Information Security Committee of the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, based on information from the KZ-CERT Computer Incident Response Service, has sent a notification to the Kazakh Network Information Center to take action against 288 Kazakhstani Internet resources on which hacking, phishing pages and malicious software providing a threat to the safe use of the Internet.

In addition, according to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, functioning of 124 domain names were terminated in the Kazakh segment of the Internet in connection with the failure to eliminate the violation entailed the  suspension the use of domain name in the established term.

 

For reference: Malicious software it is software specifically designed to cause damage to an individual computer, server, or computer network. Malicious programs are a broad category of software.

Hacking an Internet resource – it is a getting by an intruder of unauthorized access to the files of an Internet resource or to the administration section of the Internet resource management system.

Phishing – a kind of computer fraud, the main purpose of which – by fraudulent way to force the victim to provide the fraudster with the information he needs.

 

In order to protect ourselves against possible consequences for all users who visited this Internet resource, it is recommended to check their computers with anti-virus tools, in case if any materials were downloaded from the Internet resource, it is recommended to check them additionally before opening it. It is also recommended to regularly update the software, use strong passwords and keep them a secret.
