Educational projects, Data analytics and biometric identification. The prospects for further expansion of cooperation in these and a number of other areas were discussed during Askar Zhumagaliyev’s bilateral meetings with representatives of international organizations and large transnational companies, on the fields of the XII Astana Economic Forum.
Mr. Askar Zhumagaliyev spoke about key areas of activity of the Ministry with the Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations, Assistant Administrator and Director of the UNDP Regional Bureau for Europe and the CIS – Mirjana Spolarich Egger. The interlocutors agreed that digitalization plays an important role in the country’s innovative development and noted the importance of developing cooperation in this area.
The implementation of a large-scale project on data analytics was the topic of discussion with experts from the World Bank. Especially investors are interested in the project “Smart Data Ukimet”. In this regard, Askar Zhumagaliyev stressed that:
“We consider the “Smart Data Ukimet” project very important. It involves the formation of a single big data space. Creating such a base in the future will help to use artificial intelligence to analyze information, improve planning and development of a set of scenario forecasting models”.
At the site of the Astana Economic Forum, Askar Zhumagaliyev also met with the leadership of “Cisco”, “Idemia”, “China Transinfo Technology Co.”, and “Hexagon”. The parties discussed the prospects for possible cooperation and agreed to exchange relevant materials.
