Thales Group on September, 18, 2019 announced, that supplied to Uzbekistan a flight simulator for helicopters AS-350/H-125 «Ecureuil», designated to provide an initial training for pilots of the Air Force of this country.
According to Jane’s Defence Weekly, in August 2019 simulator was supplied to the “Karshi-Hannabad” military air base in the eastern part of Uzbekistan in the region of border with Kyrgyzstan. Simulator will provide the possibility of pilot training to manage by helicopter and to actions in emergencies.
Simulator placed in new building, belonging to high military aviation school, which was officially opened on September, 2, 2019 in the presence of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan.
According to information of Thales, it will be organized a training of about 300 uzbek cadets in this school, as a result of which they will receive the qualifications of pilots and engineers.
