The delegation of the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the International Exhibition “DSA-2018”

On April 15-16, 2018, a delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan B. Atamkulov paid a working visit to Malaysia, within the framework of which Kazakhstan’s specialists took part in the opening ceremony of the International Exhibition and Conference on Defense Industry “Defense Services Asia” (DSA-2018).

The Kazakhstan’s representatives got acquainted with new samples of military equipment and weapons, as well as military and dual-purpose products.

The exhibition also featured a Kazakhstan’s stand with products of LLP “Alma DK”, which produces special military products for power structures of Kazakhstan.

The delegation of the MDAI of the RK held a number of meetings with the leadership of the ministries and departments of Malaysia, as well as representatives of companies where the issues of cooperation between the two countries in the spheres of the defense industry complex, space activities and cyber security were discussed.

In particular, negotiations were held with the Minister of Defense of Malaysia H. Hussein, Secretary General of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation A. Yahai, Chairman of the Board of the “Brahim’s Holdings Berhad” D.S. Ibrahim and Chief Executive Officer of “S5 Systems” Chu Yu I.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed interest in expanding bilateral cooperation.

Also, the Kazakh delegation attended the opening ceremony of the “Putrajaya Forum” on regional security issues with the participation of the Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Tun Razak.

DSA 2018” is the 16th International Exhibition and Conference on Systems and Services in the Defense Industry. It is one of the 5 largest exhibitions on defense and security of the world.

At the “DSA” exhibition, were presented the Armament of the Army and Coast Guard, air defense assets, EW and communications, aviation, armored vehicles and artillery systems, special small arms and special-purpose equipment, naval equipment and armament, as well as satellite and space technologies, as well as dual-use products.
