The European company MBDA, whose headquarters is located in France, is actively working on the development of an innovative system for the managed weapon Enforcer.
The concept of “Enforcer” is an easy one-time guided ammunition, the range of which ranges from hundreds of meters to two kilometers. The fire from the new system is made using a self-guided missile, created on the principle of “shot-forget”.
According to the plan, new multipurpose ammunition will be able to ensure effective destruction of targets on the battlefield and in urban conditions both during the day and at night. The weight of the rocket is 9 kilograms and one of its main assignments is to neutralize the sheltered snipers of the enemy.
One of the new missiles has a launcher made of lightweight carbon-fiber material developed by the Italian branch of MBDA.
First of all, now these weapons are expected to be received in Germany, where it will be an addition to the Wirkmittel 90 infantry weapon.
In accordance with expectations, the newest European complex can be launched in series production by the end of 2019.
