Ukraine plans to purchase 55 French helicopters

During the visit to Kiev of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France, Jean-Yves Le Drian, on March 23, 2018, a preliminary agreement was signed for the purchase of 55 helicopters from Airbus Helicopters in France, to be used by the police, border services and the state emergency service of Ukraine.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the first batch of four helicopters can be delivered already in 2018. Among them will be medical, search and rescue vehicles. Helicopters of models Н-145, Н-125 and Н-225 can enter the delivery list. The cost of the transaction was not disclosed.
After the meeting with Le Drian, Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman said that the trade turnover between Ukraine and France this year could grow up to 3.5 billion US dollars from 2 billion US dollars in 2016.
