A solemn meeting of employees of the Ministry of defense and aerospace industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MDAI of the RK) and representatives of working collectives of enterprises of Defense industrial complex (DIC) and space sphere took place in Astana dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Astana.
During the event, the Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan B. Atamkulov congratulated the workers of the defense and aerospace industries on this significant date and presented state and departmental awards.
Speaking at the meeting, he noted that over the years the capital has become a symbol of the country’s independence and the center of Kazakhstan’s socio-political life. Astana has established itself as an experienced organizer and implementer of major international venues.
One of the key events for the country in 2018 was the successful holding of the V International Exhibition of Arms and Military-Technical Property “KADEX-2018”, which was held for the first time under the auspices of the MDAI of the Republic of Kazakhstan. As a result of the exhibition, more than 100 agreements, contracts, memoranda and protocols of intentions for the supply of arms and military equipment, organization of joint ventures for more than 300 billion tenge were signed.
In the course of the solemn meeting B. Atamkulov presented the distinguished workers of the defense and aerospace spheres with the jubilee medals «Астана 20 жыл», departmental awards «Қазақстан Республикасының Қорғаныс және аэроғарыш өнеркәсібін дамытуға қосқан үлесі үшін»“, «Ғарыш саласын дамытуға қосқан үлесі үшін», «Еңбек ардагері», certificates of honor and letters of thanks of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The awarding ceremony of distinguished employees ended with a festive concert program.
In total, on the eve of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Astana, 38 Jubilee medals «Астана 20 жыл», 75 departmental awards, 79 letters of thanks and 35 honorary certificates were handed to the staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and subordinate organizations.
