Since March 2017 the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MDAI of RK) has been working on the introduction of project management approaches.
This work is being implemented in the framework of the project “Defense and aerospace industries” under the direction “Basic industrialization”.
Headed by the Minister of defense and aerospace industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov, the project management implementation office was created at the Ministry.
Today implementation of project management has allowed growing production volume of enterprises of defense and aerospace industries by 14% and the export of the production has been increased almost twice compared to 2016 results.
MDAI of RK has developed 8 initiatives including 14 tasks with the implementation period until 2024.
It is expected that the presented initiatives will allow achieving the growth of the enterprises production volume and the export of the products by several times in 2019-2020 already.
Experts of the Ministry analyze current situation on a permanent basis in order to effectively solve problems. The detailed plans for 2018 and later years have been developed and approved.
The initiatives that developed by the Ministry have been discussed at the meetings of the State Commission on Economic modernization, on which were presented project management implementation office`s work.
