In order to develop the sphere of information security and electronic industry, by Resolution No. 221 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan of April 26, 2018, the RSE on the right of economic management the “Institute of Information and Computing Technologies” of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan was defined as a national institute for development in the field of information security.

In the period of 15-16^th of May, 2018 in Moscow the next conference “PHDays-2018” was held. The number of participants of which traditionally exceeded 5 thousand people. The conference discussed the problems and trends in the field of information security.

On the 23-24^th of May, 2018 in the Business center of Astana will be held an International conference in the field of military-technical cooperation – science-practical conference «Advanced  Def Tech». The Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Engineering” are the organizers of this event. This event will be one of the main events of the V International exhibition of arms and military technical property “KADEX-2018”, which will be held in the capital during the period from the 23^rd to 26^th of May, 2018.

The Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands announced the signing of a contract for the delivery of the mini-UAV PD-100 Black Hornet, intended for reconnaissance units of the Army and Marine Corps. This was reported on Friday, May 11, 2018 by Center for Analysis of world arms trade.
