The Government of the Russian Federation has submitted to the State Duma a bill that gives the Cabinet powers to establish restrictions on disclosing information on state contracts in the defense sphere in the Internet, from the database of the lower house of parliament.

It is noted that the initiative is designed to “protect the constitutional order, the rights and legitimate interests of citizens and legal entities, ensure the defense capability and security of the Russian Federation, including to ensure guaranteed financial support for state contracts under the state defense order and unconditional payment under contracts in the military technical cooperation”.

According to the text of the bill, the government “has the right to determine cases in which certain information is not subject to posting on the Internet.” Also, we are talking about individuals for whom such information can not be published.
