The second batch of shipment of Infantry fighting vehicles (BMPs’) purchased in the Netherlands arrived in Estonia

The second consignment of infantry fighting vehicles (BMP) CV9035, purchased in the Netherlands, arrived in Estonia, the main headquarters of the republic’s Defense Forces said on Sunday.

“A cargo ship arrived in the northern port of Paldiski on Saturday, delivering infantry fighting vehicles CV9035 to Estonia and transported to the military town of Tapa, where the First Infantry Brigade of the Defense Forces is based,” the report said.

At the end of 2014, Estonia entered into an agreement with the Netherlands on the purchase of 44 used CV9035 infantry fighting vehicles worth 113 million euros. Combat vehicles will be delivered to Estonia between 2016 and 2018.

Infantry fighting vehicles are manufactured in Sweden and, although they have been in operation for some time, are in good condition. All cars were in the Netherlands pre-sales service and repairs. CV90 are in service with the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, Sweden and Finland. Last year 12 infantry fighting vehicles CV9035 were delivered to Estonia.
